  • 1cup mayonnaise8 ounces
  • 1/2cup light sour cream4 ounces
  • 1/2cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese1 ounce
  • 1 1/2Tbsps granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2Tbsps white wine vinegar
  • 1head iceberg lettuce cut into small pieces
  • 4eggs hard-boiledsliced lengthwise
  • 1 1/2cups grape tomatoes cut in half lengthwisecut in half lengthwise
  • 1/2pound baconcooked, drained and broken into small pieces, 8 ounces
  • 6green onions white and green partsthinly sliced
  • 1cup sharp cheddar cheeseshredded, 4 ounces
  • 2cups green peas thawed
  1. Whisk together all dressing ingredients in a small bowl until smooth and creamy; set aside.
  1. Add lettuce to trifle bowl, or another clear bowl.
  2. Place a ring of sliced eggs around the perimeter of the bowl, nestling them in the lettuce for support.
  3. Place remaining eggs on top of lettuce.
  4. Place a ring of sliced grape tomatoes around the perimeter of the bowl above the eggs; place remaining tomatoes on top of egg layer.
  5. Layer the bacon, green onions, Cheddar cheese, and green peas in that order on top of tomato layer.
  6. Spread dressing on top of salad. If desired, sprinkle a few green peas and paprika on top for a festive look.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, and preferably overnight.
  8. Before serving, toss to combine all ingredients.
