How to Make Classic Southern Tomato Gravy
Add chopped bacon to a hot skillet, stirring and cooking for 3 minutes.
Then add chopped bell pepper and onions to the pan. Cook until all is crisp.
Sprinkle flour over the cooked mixture of bacon and veggies.
Cook and continue to stir for 2 minutes, until the flour is golden brown.
Slowly add chicken stock, and continue whisking for another 2 minutes.
Then add brown sugar, tomatoes, and salt. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
