Easy Key Lime Mousse
This no-bake light-as-a-cloud mousse combines cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, frozen whipped topping and key lime juice into a dreamy delectable light dessert that you and your family will love!

- 1 package cream cheese softened 8 oz package
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz can
- 1 container frozen whipped topping 12 oz container, thawed
- 1 cup fresh key lime juice **See note
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk and thawed whipped topping and mix with your electric mixer until well combined.
Add the key lime juice and mix well until the mixture is thick and smooth.
Note: You can substitute juice squeezed from regular or Persian limes or 1 cup of frozen limeade in a can for the key lime juice called for in this recipe. If you want to be authentic and use key limes it will take the juice of about 20-24 key limes or a little more than a pound of key limes to make 1 cup. If you are using key limes, use a clean metal garlic press to make squeezing out the juice easier. I have to confess that I used 1/2 cup of frozen limeade and 1/2 cup regular lime juice when I made it because that's what I had on hand, and I couldn't see myself squeezing all of those tiny key limes...
Pour into 4 individual serving bowls or parfait glasses and chill thoroughly in the refrigerator before serving. Enjoy
**For a Key Lime Mousse Pie, simply pour the mixture into a pre-made graham cracker pie crust and chill before serving.
