Cherry Pomegranate Sherbet

Dark Sweet Cherry and Pomegranate Sherbet is a delightfully refreshing combination of dark sweet cherries and pomegranate juice and is a perfect summer dessert!

  • 3 cups dark sweet cherries fresh or frozen and pitted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup 100% pomegranate juice
  • 1-1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 Tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice


  • Place the cherries, sugar, and pomegranate juice in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down to low and simmer for about 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
  • Once the mixture is cool, put it in a blender and blend until it is smooth.
  • Add the milk, cream and lemon juice and blend until everything is throughly mixed.
  • Add the mixture to your ice-cream maker and process for about 25 minutes or until the mixture is frozen.
  • Transfer to an air-tight container and put in the freezer for at least 4 hours to firm the mixture up.
