½cupchopped roasted pecans

Transfer to your serving dish. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Optional: Sprinkle some extra chopped scallions, crumbled bacon, a few pecan pieces or some shredded cheese on top before serving.
Notes
Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or pop it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before mixing. Softened cream cheese is much easier to blend and ensures a smooth, creamy texture. For the best flavor and crunch, cook your bacon fresh and let it cool before crumbling it into the dip. Baking the bacon in the oven at 400°F on a wire rack works great for evenly crisp bacon without the mess.Be sure to roast your pecans. Roasting brings out the natural oils, enhancing their nutty, buttery flavor. It also crisps them up, giving them a more crunchy texture. You can also roast a small amount in the microwave by placing them in a single layer on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave them on high power for 1-minute intervals, stirring in between. The pecans are ready when they smell toasty and are slightly darker. This usually takes 2–3 minutes total.
