I live in a small apartment with a tiny kitchen. I would have no space to store a cast iron skillet to bake the crispy cornbread I love. I could buy another 9-inch or 10-inch square pan for this purpose. What kind would you recommend? Is glass acceptable. Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Susan,
If you can’t use cast iron, go with a metal pan to heat it in the oven before you add your batter! I hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy it.
PS: I have a tiny kitchen, too, and I use my 10-inch cast iron pan for all of my baking and casseroles, plus everything else you would normally use a cast iron pan for.
